Death Valley R.O.C.K.S.

Since 2008, the Death Valley R.O.C.K.S. (Recreation Outdoors Campaign for Kids through Study) Program has brought classrooms of students from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and other areas to Death Valley National Park for an interpretive learning experience. Kids that wouldn’t normally be able to visit a national park enjoy environmental education in Death Valley’s natural “classroom.”  The National Park Service and Death Valley Natural History Association co-sponsor these trips. The R.O.C.K.S. program wouldn’t be possible without Death Valley supporters like you. Thank you! 

Death Valley R.O.C.K.S. also supports the National Park Service Centennial initiative of “Every Kid in a Park”. This nationwide program aims to help every 4th grader in America find the park in their backyard. Here in Death Valley, park rangers will lead one day field trips for students of all ages from both urban and local gateway communities. Your donations will be used to assist with transportation, interpretive supplies, food, or any other expenses related to bringing students to this one-of-a-kind outdoor classroom.
