Cow Creek – Continued Improvements
DVNHA’s program activities have been so successful that we needed to add restroom/shower facilities here in the Cow Creek area to help serve program volunteers and researchers. We partnered with San Jose State University to raise funds for this addition. SJSU designed and installed a sustainable Shower Restroom Addition (RSA) to one of our existing outbuildings. This project received approval from the National Park Service and can be used by various NPS volunteers, SJSU Field Studies, among others. The prefabricated construction ($30,500) is now fully complete and
operational as of April 2016. Thank you to everyone who donated to this project and all at SJSU who sacrificed to make this a reality.
Help support Death Valley Field Studies education at Cow Creek by contributing to on-going site improvements! Additional funds will be used to purchase maintenance supplies, fund necessary repairs and improvement projects like decking material for the stairs/landing so that it can withstand the harsh desert environment for years to come!
