Cooperating Agreements
DVNHA has a formal cooperating association agreement with the National Park Service to support Death Valley National Park. Cooperating Associations are non-profits authorized by Congress to provide program and financial assistance for interpretation, education, and research in national parks and we have been serving Death Valley since 1954!
DVNHA has a separate agreement with the US Fish and Wildlife to support Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. AMNWR updates their Facebook Page regularly with events and opportunities. The new boardwalks at Point of Rocks and Longstreet Spring have been completed, providing many new opportunities for viewing birds, seeing sites of cultural importance, and even possibly catching a glimpse of the elusive bighorn. The boardwalk at Crystal Spring is also a great spot to view pupfish and a deep spring pool. A new Visitor Center has been built with new exhibits and direct access to the Crystal Spring Boardwalk. Groups interested in receiving educational tours at the refuge should contact the Refuge office, 775-372-5435.
